Breaded Baked Chicken Strips

Ingredients
7 or 8 deboned chicken breasts2 c. fine bread crumbs1 c. Parmesan cheese, canned1 1/2 tsp. salt1 tbsp. thyme1 tbsp. basil1/2c. of I can't beleive it's not butter, melted
Directions
Cut chicken into 1 1/2 inch strips. Combine dry ingredients. Dip chicken strips into butter and then coat in crumbs. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake for 20 minutes at 400 degrees. Turn strips after 10 minutes. This is a super recipe for appetizers or perfect for a Tailgate Picnic. The thyme and basil can be adjusted to your family's liking. Can be reheated in the microwave. For some creative variations: Try other spices such as lemon pepper or barbecue spice. 8 servings.

    This recipe inspired me. Instead of the herbs listed, I used McCormick's Perfect Pinch Garlic and Herb, Rotisserie Chicken Seasoning, celery flakes and Italian seasoning. The breading was sparse, but the flavor was great. I did only 3 breasts, full amount of breading, and it wasn't fully breaded. - 9/12/12
