Ingredients
Directions
1 cup lentils1 cup whie or brown rice1.5 cups macaroni1/2 cup chick peasFor sauce:1 onion1 Tbs olive oil3 garlic cloves2 cup tomato sauce1 Tbs Vinegarsalt/peppercuminOptional:2 onions1/4 cup vegetable oil
Cook lentils with salt until tender.
Cook rice until done.
Cook macaroni until done.
Cook chick peas until done. (but you can also use canned ones)
Put lentils, rice, macaroni and chick peas together and cook for about 7 minutes. Add salt.
Sauce:
Sautee onion in 1 Tbs olive oil, add garlic & tomato juice.
Let simmer for 15 min. Season with salt/pepper and cumin.
Cook again for 3 Min.
Serve the Kuchari and pour sauce on the top.
Optional: You can fry 2 onions until caramelized and put it over the sauce. I leave it out, too much calories :)
