Pasta with Turkey Sausage and Spinach

12 oz dry whole wheat pasta1 tsp olive oil1 medium onion, chopped1 red bell pepper, chopped5 cloves of garlic, chopped1 lb turkey sausage, casing removed1 bunch spinach, rinsed, drained and chopped1/4 cup grated parmesean cheese1/4 tsp crushed red peppersalt and pepper to taste
Cook pasta in large pot of salted water, reserving 1 cup of cooking liquid when draining.
Sautee onion, garlic and pepper in oil until soft. Add sausage and cook through, breaking up into small pieces. Add in spinach, cover and cook for 2 minutes. Stir, and cook until spinach is wilted.
Combine sausage mixture, pasta, reserved water, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper to tast and cheese. Mix well and serve.
