Vegetarian Tofu Chili

1-350 gram pkg extra firm tofu, crumbled1 clove garlic, minced1 tablespoon chili powder2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce1 cup chopped onion1 large green pepper, chopped1 carrot, diced2 tablespoons olive oil3-1/4 cups tomato sauce2 tomatoes, chopped1/2 cup tomato paste2 cups pinto beans, or kidney beans, cooked1/2 teaspoon basil, dried1 teaspoon cumin1 teaspoon cayenne pepper1 teaspoon sugar1 teaspoon salt
Mix tofu, garlic, chili powder and Worcestershire sauce together in a mixing bowl and set aside.
Saute onions, geen peppers and carrots in oil until onions are transparent.
Add tofu mixture and saute until tofu is browned.
Stir in tomato sauce, tomatoes, tomato paste, beans and spices. Cover and simmer 30 minutes. Serve.
