Apple Betty Light

Ingredients
1 apple, peeled, cored, and sliced.2 slices Weight Watchers low calorie 100% whole wheat bread, lightly toasted1 tablespoon packed brown sugar1 teaspoon cinnamon (or to taste)1 teaspoon reduced-calorie margarine
Directions
Makes 1 serving

Preheat oven to 375 degrees, spray a small oven-safe dish with nonstick cooking spray. Place half of the apple in the dish.

In a food processor, process the toast to coarse crumbs. Transfer to a small bowl and combine with brown sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle half over the apple in the dish, layer with remaining apple and crumb mixture. Dot with the margarine, add 1/3 cup water. Bake until the top is crisp and the fruit is bubbling, about 35-45 minutes.
