1 cup unsalted butter softened1.5 cups sugar2 eggs2.5 flour2 tsp cream of tartar1 tsp baking soda.25 tsp salt (if using salted butter omit)6 tbsp white sugar2 tsp cinnamon
cream butter and first amount of sugar together well. Beat in eggs 1 at a a time.
Mix in flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt. Shape into 1 inch balls.
Stir remaining sugar and cinnamon together in small dish. Roll balls in mixture to coat. Place on parchment lined cookie sheet. Bake in 400 oven for 7 - 8 minutes.
