Taste is excellent! One piece of advice tho, after shredding meat, add the sauce to IT instead of adding the meat back to the sauce. Then you can add as much as you like. I made way too much sauce and it turned out too soupy even after adding cornstarch. Tasted yummy tho! - 4/6/10

Extremely good!! I did substitute apple juice for the water and used apple cider vinegar, also used fresh garlic. This is definitely one recipe I will use over and over!!! - 8/29/10

Very delicious. I cut the recipe in half since there are only 2 of us. The sauce thickened nicely on its own without adding any cornstarch (I thought it made a nice amount of sauce). This will be worked into the regular rotation! - 4/18/09

Great flavor, very easy to make definitely needed to thicken the sauce. I also left out the salt as there's plenty in the ketchup and BBQ Sauce.

    A hit with the family! - 4/24/09

This turned out great. By the time I got home, it had been on high for about 8-9 hours and fell apart perfectly. I did find that the sauce needed a bit of thickening (added about 1T cornstarch) since I planned to put it on some thin multigrain rolls. Great with a dill pickle! - 10/22/09

This was delicious. Thank you so much. Every time one of the men would walk in the house - they would comment on how good it smelled. But the taste was the best!! - 3/30/09

This got smiles all the way around in my picky family..which is really saying something! I did thicken then sauce w/some cornstarch like one of the other reviewers and I thought it was great! This will definitely be added into the normal rotation. - 3/23/09

I have made this several times and it is always a winner. I have revamped it a little for myself. I use a can of tomato sauce, more veg, and fresh garlic. A little more chili powder and extra cider vinegar are good too. - 2/27/10

This recipe makes approx. 1525 gm or 54 ounces for the total recipe. Divided by 12 (it makes 12 servings) a serving is 127 grams or 4.5 ounces. I cooked it with the lid off for awhile to get the sauce to thicken, but I added some cornstarch as well. Came out great! - 12/10/09

I made this recipe on a day when I knew we would be getting home late.
I served the meat on wheat buns and made side salads. My 2 teenagers had 4 sandwiches each. They loved it, so did I.
I will make this one again! - 2/19/09

I made this last Friday and it was delicious. My husband loved it and I may spice it up a little next time, with some paprika or chili powder. My kids were not so enamored with it, but they are only 5 and 7 and still learning to try and like lots of different foods. Made great leftover sandwichs! - 1/26/09

I finally got a chanced to make this and absolutely loved it. I toasted whole wheat buns and piled on the mixture and topped it with a good sized portion of homemade coleslaw...It was very very good and my husband loved it as well. Yummo! - 6/20/07

One of my favorite Spark recipes! The only thing I did different was to cook it on low (for about 8 hours) rather than high, as I find meat usually comes out more tender this way. - 12/6/10

I followed the intructions only I added a packet of "slow cooked pulled pork" seasonings from McCormick and it was so good, the sauce was a bit thin but the I just shreaded the meat and set it aside and added the amount of sauce desired. - 11/15/10

This is a incredible melt in your mouth pulled pork,I didnt add the ketchup or worcestershire sauce or brown sugar used only 1/2 cup water and used cider vinegar and also mrs dash extra spicy on only a 2 pound roast .pull roast out shred and add sauce back to crock seemed to work great as others did - 6/27/10

This was wonderful! I made the sauce the night before and threw everything in the crockpot in the morning. There was a bit too much sauce so I removed about half and thickened it with some cornstarch. Yummy. - 3/30/09

this was my first Spark recipe and it was terrific!!! There is too much sauce, so I will have some on rice later this week. - 3/16/09

Easy to make and really good. The sauce is too much for a 3 lb roast though so I would add it to the meat as preferred. - 3/9/09

I don't buy ketchup so used 1/4 Cup hoisen sauce; added 1 T molasses because I also don't buy BBQ sauce. I added some chopped diced canned tomatoes (which is what I use in my own recipes), did not use salt. It was a hit. - 6/21/13

Really good flavor. I would definitely make this again.
I used fresh chopped garlic and omitted the salt and it was just fine.
Pork shoulder was all I had available at the time and the dish turned out a bit high in fat. Go with a extra lean cut of pork if you can. - 2/22/11

Made this last nite and it was a hit!!! The sauce had great flavor! This is a definite make again recipe! Even thought I could use the sauce to make pork chops or even chicken! - 1/26/11

Delicious! I didn't have celery and used apple cider vinegar instead of plain vinegar. Cooked it on low. The meat was so tender. My husband loved it! Will definitely make it again. - 1/1/11

This recipe was OUTSTANDING! The only thing I didn't have was chili powder, and that would have only made it better! I cooked it in the crockpot on low for 10 hours, and it just fell apart when I pulled it with the forks! DELICIOUS! - 10/26/09
