Savory Limpa Rye Bread

Ingredients
2 c black coffee2 c orange juice3/4c dark brown sugar1/4c dark molasses3 T caraway seed2 T anise seed2 t salt2 T cooking oile (butter flavor preferred)3 T yeast (red star fast acting works best)2 C rye flour7 C white flourEgg for brushing tops
Directions
Combine, everything except the yeast and flour,boil for 5 minutes and cool to 110 degrees. Water may be substituted for coffee. .

Combine all but 2 cups white flour in your mixer bowl, add the cooled mixture and mix, adding the remaining flour (and a bit more) to achieve a relatively stiff dough. Machine knead for 8 minutes.

Double rise the dough, then shape into 4 loaves. Brush tops with beaten whole egg.

Allow to rise to double. Bake in 375 degree oven for 40 - 50 minutes.
