Stewed Tomatoes, crushed, 2 cans (14 oz)Beef broth, 1 can (10.5 oz)Water, tap, 8 cup (8 fl oz)kidney beans, dry, 1 cupBeans, Garbonzos, Chick Peas, dry, 1 cupBeans, Pinto, dry, 1 cupTurkey Italian Sausage, 5 linksPotato, raw, 2 medium (2-1/4" to 3-1/4" dia.)Sweet potato, 1 sweetpotato, 5" longCarrots, raw, 3 large (7-1/4" to 8-1/2" long)Celery, raw, 2 stalk, large (11"-12" long)Onions, raw, 1 medium (2-1/2" dia)Salt and Pepper to taste.Garlic PowderOreganoBasil
Chop the carrots, celery (include the greens), onion, and potatoes in cubes.
Add to your slow cooker.
Add all the beans to slow cooker.
Crush the stewed tomatoes and add to slow cooker.
Cut the turkey sausage into large chunks and add to slow cooker.
Add beef broth and water.
Add seasonings.
Turn slow cooker on high for 5 hours or low for 8 hours.
*Optional - add whole wheat pasta shells in last half hour of cooking.
Makes 10 2-cup servings.
