German Sausage and Cabbage with noodles

Ingredients
8 oz pasta (or egg noodles)2 italian sausage links1 c chopped onions1/2 head green cabbage, shredded1 tbs extra virgin olive oil2 cloves garlic, chopped1 pat butter (or butter substitute)salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Add oil and butter in large pan. Add sliced sausage and cook until crispy. Remove sausage and add cabbage, onions and garlic and cook until tender, then add cooked sausage. Meanwhile, boil past according to package. Toss pasta with cabbage and sausage, and season w/ salt and pepper

    I dont like italian sausage so I used Brats instead. I left out the oil and butter and used whole wheat noodles. Very good, and hubby enjoyed so will make again. - 1/21/08

    This is FANTASTIC! I have a new love for cabbage now! The guys loved it and I had no left overs. I tried it two times now, once with a breakfast sausage & spaghetti noodles. The other with smoked sausage and wheat noodles. I add a whole head of cabbage and YUM! Wonderful! - 1/14/08
