Nana's Macaroni & Cheese

Ingredients
10 ounces elbow macaroni1 teaspoon salt½ teaspoon pepper-preferably white3 packages Cracker Barrel extra sharp cheddar cheese2 tablespoon melted butter2 ½ cups milk 2 tablespoon flour
Directions
Cook macaroni according to box. Drain and put into well greased casserole dish. Grate 2 pkg. cheese & add to macaroni along with remaining ingredients; except for last pkg. of cheese. Slice remaining cheese & layer on top of mixture. Bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour or until cheese starts to brown. For an extra delight, cubed ham or sausage may be added. Makes 12 servings.

    This was sooooo good! I chopped one brick of cheese up into 1/2 inch cubes instead of shredding it, and bought a back of sharp cheese already shredded for the second one. Cabot's makes a 50% less fat sharp white and yellow, so I didn't actually use any Cracker Barrel, but it was still soooo good! - 10/30/10
