Applesauce Cake

Ingredients
2 eggs3 1/4 cups unsweetened applesauce1/4 cup butter (or margarine)1 1/2 cups Domino Pure D'lite Sugar Blend2 tsp. soda1 tsp. ground cloves1 tsp. ground allspice1 tsp. nutmeg1 1/2 cups raisins1 cup Black walnuts or pecans, chopped2 cups all purpose flour2 cups whole wheat flour
Directions
Allow butter to soften. In large mixing bowl, beat all ingredients except nuts and raisins untl mixed. Stir in nuts and raisins. Pour batter into greased and floured pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean.

Makes 3 9x4 inch loaf pans or one large tube cake--I based the calories on 48 slices from 3 loaf pans.



These can be made in advance and refrigerated or frozen to use later; it actually tastes better after aging for a day or 2. They make a good Christmas gift.
