Ingredients
3 cups whole grain flour1/2 cup sugar1/2 tsp baking soda1 1/2 tsp baking powder3/4 cup butter1 cup buttermilk 1 tsp vanilla3/4 cup chopped cranberries1/2 cup chopped almonds
Directions
this is not a diet food but they are great for a special occasion
Combine all dry ingredients, Cut in butter till crumbly. add buttermilk and vanilla until mixed. Add cranberries and almonds and mix well. Divide dough in half. On a floured cutting mat form dough into 8 inch circle. cut into 8 pieces using a pizza cutter. Place on grease cookie sheet, bake 400 degrees for 15 minutes. You can subsitute other fruit and nuts if desired.
