2 tbsp flour1 tsp salt1/2 tsp ground black pepper1/2 tsp paprika1/2 lb stewing beef, cut into 1/2" cubes1 medium onion, sliced2 tbsp vegetable oil1 1/2 cups beef broth1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce1 cup mushrooms, sliced2 frozen pie shells
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, pepper and paprika. Add beef and stir to coat.
In a large pot cook beef and onion in oil over medium-high heat until beef is browned and onion is tender.
Add broth and Worcestershire sauce to the pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 45 minutes.
Preheat oven to 375ºF
Uncover and stir in mushrooms. Simmer for 5-10 minutes while oven heats.
Spoon filling into one pie shell and place the other shell on top. Crimp the edges and cut slits or poke holes in the top to let the steam escape.
Bake 35-40 minutes.
Serving Size: Makes 1 9" Pie, 8 servings per pie.
