Ingredients
1.5 lbs flank steak¼ cup low sodium soy sauce1 tsp splenda (or less... to taste)1 tbsp sesame oil1 tbsp lime juice4 cloves garlic, minced1 tbsp ginger, minced1 tsp asian chili sauce1 tsp ground black pepper.
Directions
Trim fat from steak. Score meat in a diamond pattern.
Mix rest of ingredients together. Place meat and liquid in a large Ziploc and remove air. Put in fridge for at least 6 hours but no more than 24 hours. Flip a couple of times without obsessing.

Remove from fridge.

Preheat BBQ to High.

Place flank on hot grill and reduce to Medium. Grilll 5 minutes, flip, grill another 5 minutes. Remove from grill and tent for 3 to 5 minutes. Carve against the grain of the meat into thin-ish slices (about ½ cm).

If you want to be fancy, you can save the rest of the marinade (the stuff that the meat was sitting in) and cook it for 2 to 3 minutes. Pour marinade over sliced meat.

Makes 6 servings.

Enjoy.

Turned out perfect. Talk about good diet food. The kids ate most of it so I didn't have much for myself. LOL! - 7/12/08

This was delicious! Flank steak is not our favorite cut, but the marinade was quite zippy and excellent! I cooked this inside and boiled the extra marinade and served it in the side. I will certainly use this again! Thank you for sharing! - 12/16/07

Wow! My 12 year old ate 7 helpings of this steak and he does not normally eat meat well! Awesome flavor! I let the steak marinate over night. Did not use Splenda used honey. Didn't have ginger so I used ground ginger. Would have been perfect with fresh ginger! Yu-um! - 2/23/10

Used honey instead of Splenda. Added chopped green onions and worcester sauce and omitted the chili (kids!)

Awesome flavor! I served it over a bed of salad greens, and next time will double the marinade and set aside half to use as a salad dressing. This recipe is definitely a keeper! - 6/14/12

Sounds yummy! I substituted the splender for honey and used lemon juice instead of lime juice and dry chili powder because it is what I had on hand.... Hopefully it will be as good as it smells! It's marinating in the frige and we will be having this when my hubby gets home from work!!!!!!!! - 12/4/11

I added about a teaspoon of brown sugar to the marinade, and im using shoulder tip steak b/c that's what i had on hand. They are lean cuts. It's marinading right now and it will be dinner tonight so hopefully it's YUMMY! I think it will be! Serving w/ sticky rice & asian veggies. - 11/9/10

Oh, yum. I tried this recipe on a tough cut of beef. It came out tender and delicious. Even my food-indifferent guys loved it!
We use this marinade on all kinds of meats ~ chicken, beef and pork. It's great! - 5/14/10

Made this tonight. The grill ran out of gas last night, so I had to broil it instead. Took a little longer to cook, but the taste was worth it. Only difference is I couldn't find the Asian Chili sauce, so I added Emeril's hot sauce for wings. - 2/25/10
