Apple Coleslaw

Ingredients
2 red or golden delicious apples2 tsp. lemon juice2 tsp. sugar4 c. shredded cabbage1/2 c. chopped walnuts1/4 tsp. white pepper1/2 c. seedless raisins1/2 c. mayonnaise1/2 tsp. salt
Directions
Wash the apples well, dice them (not too small). Put apples in a small bowl with sugar and lemon juice. Add the raisins and stir. Cover and set aside.
Prepare cabbage and put in large bowl. Toss with apple mixture, mayonnaise and walnuts. Season to taste with salt and pepper. If more mayonnaise is needed, add 1/4 cup more. Refrigerate for 1 hour, covered.
