slowcooker cheese topped onion soup

Ingredients
4 lg onions, sliced1 tsp ground black pepper3 cans beef broth1 can water1 pkg dry onion soup mixfrench breadmuenster cheese
Directions
put onions, pepper, broth, water and soup mix in cooker. cover and cook on low 8-10 hrs. 30 min before serving preheat oven to 475.
brush bread lightly with olive oil and rub with fresh garlic clove. Ladel soup into ovenproof bowels. Place slice of bread in bowl put cheese on top. bake until cheese is golden.
