Diabetic Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

1¾ c. whole wheat flour1½ c. granulated splenda½ tsp. baking powder1 tsp baking soda¾ tsp. salt1 – 1 ½ c. mini semisweet chocolate chips1 c. mashed overripe bananas1/2 cup eggbeaters1/3 c. buttermilk½ c. unsweetened applesauce1 tsp. vanilla extract (immitation is fine)
Preheat oven to 350F.
Add all dry ingredients and stir until combined.
Add all wet ingredients in separate bowl, mix until combined (I use a whisk).
Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir until batter looks uniform.
Bake at 350F for approx 30 minutes or until golden brown and toothpick comes out clean.
Serving Size: Makes 1 loaf pan, approx 8 servings
