Low- Cal Stuffed Peppers

6 bell peppers1 pound lean ground turkey*1 clove garlic1/4 cup onion1 carrot28 oz canned tomatoes1 cup cooked brown rice1 T brown sugar1/4 t basilGarlic salt to taste* can switch ground turkey for ground beef.
Clean peppers. Boil for 4 minutes. Rinse in cold water.
Cook turkey, garlic, onions and carrots until tender.
Add the tomatoes, rice, brown sugar and basil. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes or until the rice is tender.
Taste filling and add seasoning to taste.
Stuff the peppers. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes at 350 F.
Serving Size: Makes 6 Peppers
