Brown Sugar Rice Custard

One cup cooked Farmhouse® Long Grain White Rice 4 eggs 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed) 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon grated orange peel 1 teaspoon vanilla 3 cups milk Nutmeg or cinnamon (optional)
1.Spread rice in the bottom of a buttered 5-cup baking dish.
2.Beat eggs; stir in sugar, salt, orange peel and vanilla. Add milk.
3.Pour carefully over rice.
4.Sprinkle with nutmeg or cinnamon, if desired.
5.Set dish in larger pan containing 1 inch hot water.
6.Bake in 325° F oven until soft-set in center, 45 to 50 minutes.
7.Remove dish with custard from hot water. Cool, then refrigerate.
Serving Size: Makes about six 1 cup servings
