German Sweet & Sour Red Cabbage

Ingredients
3 slices of baconred cabbage, sliced1 onion diced3 apples1/2 cup sugar1/2 cup vinegar1 tbsp. caraway seed
Directions
Cook bacon reserving fat in pan. Remove bacon and crumble. gently brown onion, then add red cabbage. Add apples, pared and quartered. Simmer until cabbage is tender with the lid on the pan. When tener add caraway seed and vinegar & sugar. Simmer for 10 minutes. Serves 8-10
