Ingredients
Directions
8 ounces pasta - I like penne or fettucine1 bag of frozen mixed vegetables1 cup chicken breast - I use the frozen already cooked chicken but you can use any kind of meat - shrimp, chicken, ham, turkey etc...1/4 cup butter 1 1/2 cups milk 1/2-1 1/2 tablespoon flour 1 envelope vegetable soup mix - I use Knorr Spring Vegetable parmesan cheese pepper - you can add salt if you really want but it doesn't need it
Cook pasta according to package. Add the mixed veggies to the pasta and let them cook together. Meanwhile, stir together milk, soup mix, pepper, set aside. Melt butter in pan and add flour. Slowly add soup mixture. Bring to boil and add the chicken. Simmer about 10 mins until sauce thickens and chicken heats through. Toss with pasta and sprinkly with parmesan cheese.
This recipe is great and is very versatile. You don't have to add any meat, you can add almost any meat you want and the same goes for the veggies. If you are a busy mom like myself, you can make a double batch of the sauce and freeze it for the next meal. Enjoy!
