chili w/lean ground beef

Ingredients
Ingredients:Ground beef, lean, 48 oz Onions, raw, 1 cup, chopped Green Peppers (bell peppers), 0.5 cup, choppedGarlic, 4 clovesgreat value no salt added diced tomatoes, 7 cups great value black beans, dry, 1 cupgreat value light red kidney beans, dry, 1.5 cupsshurfine pinto beans, dry, 3 cupsPepper, black, 1 tspcumin seed, ground, 1 tspcrushed red pepper flakes, 3 tsp Chili powder, 4 tbsp Water, tap, 20 cups +/- (8 fl oz) Jalapeno Peppers, 1/4 cup, sliced
Directions
Combine beans and 6 cups water in large pot. Bring to boil and simmer for 2-5 minutes. Cover and let sit for at least 1 hour.
Brown ground chuck, rinse and drain. Combine in large pot with tomatoes and water.
Rinse beans and add to ground chuck and tomatoes.
Combine remaining vegetables in skillet and saute for 6-7 minutes. Add spices and saute for additional 1-2 minutes.
Add to pot along with enough water to fill pot to top.
Simmer for 3-4 hours until beans are thoroughly cooked.
Season to taste and serve.
