Steamed Cabbage

Ingredients
1 head of cabbage (chopped)4 slices of bacon (chopped)1 small onion (chopped)1 tsp. salt1/4 tsp. sugarOptional:4 oz. (or 1/4 of a whole) turkey Polish sausage (chopped)
Directions
In a large pot, brown bacon until crispy. Add chopped onion and cabbage. Pour water until cabbage is covered. Add salt and sugar and bring to a boil. Cover and reduce heat to medium-low for 20 minutes. Add chopped turkey sausage if desired and cook for another 10 minutes or until cabbage is soft. Makes about 10 1-cup servings.
