Ingredients
Directions
5 3/4c water6 c dry oatmeal (whatever your preference. I use 1-minute)6 large eggs1/2 c milk 1 tsp vanilla extractSugar (optional, not included in calculation)Brown sugar (optional, not included in calculation)
Place water in large pot. I recommend larger than 2-qt size.
Bring water to a boil.
While waiting on water, add eggs, milk and vanilla to a medium bowl. Whisk until WELL combined.
When at a rolling boil, add oatmeal, remove from heat, and cook for the amount of time specified on the container's directions. Return to low heat.
Begin whisking oatmeal and add egg mixture a bit at a time, whisking completely between each addition. Whisk for one minute after all egg mixture has been added. Remove from heat.
Serve with sugar and brown sugar or whatever toppings you like! This is a great base recipe that, so far, has gone well with all of my usual additions. Enjoy!
