Oyster Stew, Patsy's

Ingredients
8 Tbs Butter2 8oz cans of oysters (drained and rinsed)1 Cup chopped onion1 1/2 Cup chopped Celery1 Tbs Garlic1/2 tsp onoin powder1/2 tsp red pepper (ground)1 Tbs Parsley Flakes4 cups milk (1%)1 cup water2 cup chopped potatoes (I precook in microwave)2 tsp corn starch
Directions
Melt butter in pot. Add onion, celery, and garlic. Saute until tender. Add onion powder, red pepper and parsley. Add cooked potato cut into bite size pieces, milk and water. (Reserve small amount of cold milk to desolve corn sarch in.) Add corn starch mixture. Bring to slight boil, turn down heat and stir often. This is not a very thick stew, If you want it thicker add more corn starch. Makes 10 1-cup servings.
