Ingredients
2.5 cups old fashioned oats1/2 cup toasted wheat germ1 cup chopped up almonds3 tbsp unsalted butter3/4 cup honey1/4 cup dark brown sugar1.5 tsp vanilla1/2 cup dates (pitted) and apricots) chopped up1/2 cup craisins1/2 cup shredded unsweetened coconut
Directions
Put Parchment paper into an 8.5 x 13 pan. Mix oats, almonds and coconut on a cookie sheet and put in oven at 350 for about 10-12 minutes to toast a little. When you take it out, turn oven down to 300 degrees.
While that is in the oven, use saucepan for butter, honey, brown sugar and vanilla. Bring to a boil (doesn't take long) and let boil for a minute. Take off the stove and add the fruits.
Put the oat mix into a bowl when it is done and put your sugar/honey fruit mix into it and mix it up. Then wet your hands and press firmly into the cake pan. Put in the oven for 30 minutes. Take it out, let it cool a couple hours before cutting into bars. Cut into 12 first and then cut those bars in 1/2.
