1 Tbsp Olive Oil (Butter, Canola, Coconut oil)2 Tbsp All-Purpose flour1/4 tsp salt (to taste)1 dash ground black or white pepper (to taste)1 cup 2% Milk
Add Oil to saucepan and heat over moderate heat.
Whisk in 2 Tbsp of all-purpose flour, 1/4 tsp salt, and dash of white or black pepper.
Cook for about 1 minute or until bubbly.
Add one cup of 2% milk.
Whisk constantly, until mixture starts to thicken.
Cook and whisk for 2 minutes more or until thickened.
Makes 1 cup
