3 leeks, sliced and soaked to remove grit3 Tbsp butter5 Tbsp flour4 1/2 cups milksaltpepperoptional: grated mozzarella cheese (nutritional info does not include this)
Fry leeks in butter until browned and soft. Add flour and mix well. Gradually stir in milk and cook, stirring constantly, until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
Serve hot with grated mozzarella cheese, if desired. Makes 4 servings.
