I made this with chocolate and small can of pumpkin, which is 15 oz. Wasn't thin enough so I added 2 egg whites, 1/4 cup of water and 1/4 cup of apple butter. It was every tasty. - 2/8/09

I made this and added 2 eggs and a splash of water for a more cake like consistency. When I calculated my recipe for 24 muffins it was 112 calories per muffin! Very very moist and yummy, this is a keeper. I used a carrot cake mix, I might try a different flavor cake mix next time. - 10/20/13

I really liked how this recipe turned out. I did add about half a cup of applesauce to thin it out a bit. I also threw in a few chocolate chips for that extra bit of treat! - 8/13/13

These are so good and perfect for the beginner baker (me). They are my go-to for all family holiday functions. I do like them with the spice cake mix, but I might be trying some other kinds soon. - 11/27/11

I also added an egg and 1/2 C of water, it seemed too dry of a mix. I made it with real pumpkin and the spice cake mix. Next time I will try making it with canned pumpkin, but I definitely recommend spice cake mix. The family all loved it!! - 11/1/08

So easy and moist, and always a big hit. They are great as mini muffins too. I just did them (again) at my Halloween party, and it's great to have something not too sweet on the table. - 10/26/08

I made this but I used a spice cake mix and added one egg and 1/2 cup of water so they would be less gooey. I also made them smaller so I had about 21 muffins. They were a hit and I’ve already been asked to make them again! - 5/19/08
