Rumbamel's Pumpkin Chocolate Apple Cake with Nuts

-1 can, 15 oz, canned pumpkin, I used the kind from Aldi-1 C fresh applesauce, unsweetened, I diced 2 med- lg apples (which was about 1 1/2 C) and pureed them in my processor with 1 T water.-1 t pumpkin pie spice-1 box Devil's Food cake mix, mix only, I used Betty Crocker's Super moist-1/4 C chopped walnuts, about 39 g, I used Diamond brand
---Mix the wet ingredients with the pumpkin pie spice very well and then add in your cake mix. Mix until all is mixed well. Fold in your nuts.
---Pour into a lightly sprayed 9 x 13 glass casserole dish and bake for about 40 minutes at 350 degrees or until a knife in the middle comes out clean.
---Makes 24 servings.
