Whole Wheat Waffles

Ingredients
2 cups whole wheat waffles2 tsp baking powder1/2 tsp morton lite salt1 cup 1 % milk3 egg whites, beaten to stiff peaks1 tbsp splenda2 tbsp canola ol1/2 cup apple sauce1 tbsp vanilla5 tsp melted margraine for oiling wafle iron or use no stick spray
Directions
Preheat waffle iron. In large mixing bowl, add dry ingredients. In a sm bowl mix together 2 cups milk, vanilla, apple sauce and canola oil. In md. bowl beat egg whites until stiff peaks form.

Add wet ingredients into dry and incorporate until well blended. Gently fold in egg whites until completely mixed in. Don't whip in egg whites, you will deflate them.

Sprea melted margraine on both sides of iron or spray with nonstick spray. Add 1 cup batter to center of iron and spread to edges. Cook for 4 minutes or until desire doneness.With the remaining batter, about a half cup add to bottom half of iron cook 2-3 minutes until done.

Makes 5- 7 inch round waffles, Each waffle makes two servings. With the half waffle you should have 11 servings.

Serving Size: Makes 5 1/2-7 inch-waffles, each waffle makes 2 servings.
