Kara's Fast Dinner Rolls

Ingredients
2-2.5 cups white flour3T sugar1 pkg. yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)1/2 t salt3/4 C warm milk2T butter, melted1 egg, lightly beaten
Directions
Heat oven to 375

Mix together 1 1/2 cups of the flour, sugar, yeat and salt. Add melted butter and warm milk and beat until smooth. Add beaten egg and mix. Add more flour gradually, kneading when required, until dough is smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes.

Rest dough 10 minutes.

Knead dough for 30 seconds, then pat into a larger shape - to make it easy to cut into 8 equal pieces. You can leave the pieces "free form" as you cut them, or roll them into balls.

Place on a lightly greased (parchment lined or stoneware is best) baking sheet, about 2" apart and rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes, or until doubled. (if your short on time, 15 will do as they will rise more in the oven) On top of the stove works well, since the oven is heating.

Bake for 11-14 minutes or until golden brown!
