1-1/2 cups water, room temperature1-1/2 teaspoons salt4 cups bread flour2 teaspoons active dry, instant or bread machine yeast
Place all ingredients, in the order listed, into the bread pan fitted with the kneading paddle. Secure the bread pan in the Cuisinart Automatic Breadmaker. Press the menu button to select the French/Italian program. Press loaf size and crust color buttons to select both size and crust preference. Press Start/Stop to mix, knead, rise and bake. When paddle signal sounds to remove the kneading paddle, remove dough and place in loaf pan. Cover with a damp cloth. Let rise until nearly doubled (about 35 to 40 minutes). Bake in preheated 375 degree oven for 35 minutes.
