Ingredients
1 cup yams or sweet potatoes1 cupapples peeled, cored and quartered 8 ounces water8 ounces lemon juice
Directions
peel yams or sweet potatoes
slice into 2 inch chunks
boil till soft but not mushy (20-minutes)
peel apples core and quarter
mix lemon juice and water
place apple pieces in lemon/water mixture

layer cooked chunks of yams/sweet potatoes with apples pieces in microwave dish
pour lemon water over apples and yams/sweet potatoes

microwave on 30-50% power for 20-30 minutes

    This recipe is sort of weird. It has way too much liquid. We needed two servings so we doubled the recipe. We also added cinnamon and other spices. It tasted fine, but it turned out a bit like a soup. Try it before making for a holiday meal. - 12/6/09
