Swedish Green Beans

Ingredients
2 cans of cut green beans1.5 cups of corn flakes1.5 cups of shredded cheddar1 cup fat free sour cream2 tbsp flour1 tbsp sugar1 tsp salt1/4 tsp pepper
Directions
Melt 2 tbsp of butter and add flour, butter, sugar, salt, and pepper. Add 1 cup of sour cream to make sauce.

Place 2 cans of well-drained green beans in a casserole dish and cover with sauce.

Spread 11/2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese over top of beans and sauce.

Lightly toast 11/2 cups of corn flakes in 1 tbsp on butter and then spread over the top of your casserole.

Bake for 20 to 30 minutes in oven at 350 degrees.

This makes approximately 6 1 cup servings.

    Made this for an early Thanksgiving and everyone loved it!! I used fresh green beans and partially cooked them first so they weren't so hard. Didn't have corn flakes so I used frosted flakes ~ didn't really taste any different since you have to toast them in a bit of butter. Loved this recipe!! - 11/21/11

    This was much sweeter than I expected. Overall, it was good, but I'm thinking that the sugar may not even be needed. I also think that the 1.5 cups of sugar was about twice what is really needed. Just sprinkle some on top and you should be good to go. - 11/17/11

    this was the only dish that was cleaned out on Thanksgiving. Even my teenagers loved this. I used real green beans and boiled them beforehand. - 12/23/09
