Broiled Tofu

Ingredients
1 block tofu (firm)2 tsp vegetable oil2 tbsp soy saucedash tobasco sauce (or other hot sauce of choice)salt and pepper/italian seasoning
Directions
Place block of tofu between two plates and put a heavy weight (a big book or cast-iron skillet) on top of the top plate to squeeze out excess liquid. Let drain for 10 minutes.

Combine vegetable oil, soy sauce, tobasco, and spices in a bowl on the side.

Cut tofu into 4 equal slices, place in a flame-proof dish and pour marinade over the top of the tofu pieces. Put in the broiler for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through time, until they are golden brown. Serve immediately.
