Crockpot Venison Stew

Ingredients
2 lb venison cubes3 stalks celery, diced1/2 cup chopped onion2 cloves garlic, minced1/2 cup water1/2 cup dry red wine1 cup nsa tomato saucefreshly ground pepper, to tasteoregano, to tastebasil, to taste
Directions
Preheat fry pan (you will get better browning in a pan which isn't nonstick, since the very action of bonding with the pan allows the meat to brown). Brown meat on all sides. Place celery and onion at the bottom of the crockpot. add browned meat and remaining ingredients. Cook on low for 7-10 hours. Makes 10 three ounce meat servings.
