Molasses-oatmeal bread

1 cup of old fashion oatmeal2 tsp salt1/2 cup dark molasses1/4 cup of shortening2 1/4 tsp yeast 1/4 boiling water5 cups of flour
to the above ingredents pour 1 3/4 of boiling water. let stand until cool. Add 2 1/4 tsp of dry yeast to warm 1/4 cup of water which has been dissolved. add 5 cups of white flour. knead thoroughly. let rise twice. knead into 2 loaves. let raise again bake 375º 45 minutes
