Apple pie

1 cup granulated sugar1 cup white flour (all purpose)1 cup semolina1 tsp baking powder2 tbsps butter (melted)Also need 9" pan greased with butter
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
Peel the apples and cut them into medium strips (julienne like.) Add melted butter and mix well. (You can use more butter, if you like.)
In a large bowl mix dry ingredients: sugar, flour, semolina, baking powder.
Spread a layer of dry mix into a greased pan. Then make the next layer with apples. And again, sprinkle a layer of dry mix over apples, and then add a layer of apples. You should end with the dry mix atop. Put the pan in the over for about an hour.
***Note: I am used to baking at a higher altitude. Please keep checking your pie every 20 min. It should have an even golden crust.
Serving Size: makes 10-12 2-inch pieces
