Oatmeal Crisps

Ingredients
1.5 cups flour1 teaspoon baking soda1 cup butter1 cup sugar1 cup brown sugar2 eggs, beaten1 teaspoon vanilla3 cups quick cooking oats1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
Directions
Sift flour, then measure 1.5 cups
Add baking soda and salt and sift again
Cream butter thorougly
Add sugar gradually and cream until very light
Add eggs, vanilla, oats and nuts and mix well after each addition
Add flour mixture, stirring well
Form into 4 rolls, about 2 1/2 inches thick
Wrap in waxed paper and Chill overnight
Slice thin and bake on greased cookie sheet at 400 degrees for 10-12 minutes until golden brown
