Mom's Cheesy Potatoes

Ingredients
2 lbs. Frozen Hashbrowns.5 c butter, melted1 lb. shredded cheddar1 can cream of chicken soup1 pt sour cream1 tsp salt.5 tsp pepper1 medium onion, diced2 c crushed potato chips (or cornflakes)
Directions
Melt Butter in a saucepan and add soup, sour cream, and salt & pepper.
In a Large Bowl combine hashbrowns, cheese, and onions. Pour the soup mixture over the top and mix to coat the potatoes. Pour into a casserole dish and then put crushed potato chips on top. Bake about 45 minutes in a preheated 350 degree oven
