Peppermint Meringues

Ingredients
4 egg whites1/2 t cream of tartar1 1/2 cup granulated sugar1 t vanilla extractaprox 3 candy canes, crushed
Directions
Whip egg whites until frothy, add cream of tartar. Continue whipping until soft peaks form, add sugar in slow stream, add vanilla extract. Add candy canes, drop by rounded tablespoon on lightly greased sheets.
Bake at 250 degrees for 40 minutes
