Ingredients
Directions
1 (6oz) can Tuna - chunk light in water1 Tbsp finely chopped fresh basil1/8 cup pitted Kalamata olives, finely chopped1/2 celery rib, finely chopped1 Tbsp red onion, finely chopped1 Tbsp olive oil1/2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice1/8 tsp saltpinch of black pepper
The original recipe calls for Italian Tuna packed in oil. I substituted water packed tuna to cut down on calories and fat. You loose a little of the taste but I've found that throwing in a bit of dried italian spices makes up for this.
In a medium bowl mix together all ingredients. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Can be eaten on crackers, as a sandwich filler, or plain (that's how I usually enjoy it).
