Cabbage soup

Ingredients
One large onion, choppedTwo medium carrots, choppedOne large rib celery, choppedOne Tablespoon olive oilOne half head cabbage, choppedOne large can diced tomatoesOne cup pasta sauce or one tablespoon tomato pasteOne and a half teaspoons vegetable baseEight cups waterTwo teaspoons Italian seasoningone half teaspoon red pepper flakestwo bay leaves
Directions
Saute onion, carrots, and celery in olive oil in large stock pot until translucent.
Add everything else.
Bring to a boil and simmer for around an hour.
