Ingredients
Dry ingredients:3/8 Cup All Purpose Flour1/4 Cup Granulated Sugar1/4 Teaspoon Baking Soda1/8 Teaspoon salt1 1/2 Teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powderWet ingredients:1/2 Teaspoon Apple Cider Vinegar1/8 Cup Applesauce (I use 1/2 baby food jar)1/4 Cup Cold WaterFrosting:1 Tablespoon + 1 teaspoon margarine, softened at room temperature1/4 Cup powdered sugar1/2 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powdera few drops Almond Milk
Directions
Preheat oven to 350*. Prep a 4 inch cake pan with margarine and dust with flour.

Mix all dry ingredients in a small bowl. Mix all wet ingredients in another small bowl. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients, whisk well. Pour mix into prepared cake pan and bake at 350* for 20-25 minutes, or until toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean. Let cool completely.
While cake is cooling, mix frosting:
Cream together margarine and powdered sugar until well incorporated. Mix in cocoa. Add almond milk a few drops at a time and blend with fork until smooth. Spread frosting over cooled cake.


Serving Size: Makes 1 4-inch single layer cake, shared by up to 4 friends
