OK Splenda after taste, found it too sweet. 1/3 cup of sugar (not splenda) would be just fine. I LUV cinnamon,1 tbsp. would be fine, as well as the vanilla. No salt needed. Increased applesauce & water to 1/2 cup, because I added 1/2 cup all bran (fiber boost). Added 1/4 cup walnuts. Got 14 slices.

I found this recipe here this morning and made them right away. OMG! These are so good!! I used whole wheat pastry flour instead of reg. whole wheat and I added 1/4 C. of chopped walnuts. This only raised the fats and calories a bit, ending up with 111 cal. and 2 g. fat, so I had 2 for breakfast. - 9/18/12

I made this yesterday and my family loved it. I put some low fat butter on top and it was so yummy. I also used unsweetened applesauce.

Used just over 1/3 cup splenda, 3 bananas, 1 tsp baking powder, and 2 tbsps cinnamon. Found even that amount of cinnamon obliterated any banana taste, but enjoyable still. - 2/15/15

I made this last night and added a few choc chips on top, I skipped the egg (b/c i did not have any in the house. Even still, the bread turned out moist and fluffy. I was very pleased. Husband loved too - he had for snack last night and breakfast this morning :) Thanks! - 6/26/10

This is a great recipe! I didn't have any applesauce so I just used an extra banana. It turned out VERY moist (almost too moist?) but the flavor was GREAT! I added a few tbs of chopped almonds to mine and also swapped out some of the cinnamon for cocoa powder. My family LOVED it! - 4/12/10
