1 pound ex-lean gr. beef.25 C. chopped onion3 med. stalks celery chopped3 med. carrots sliced1 4oz. can mushrooms drained1 can low sodium chicken broth1/8 C. dry barley1 can diced tomatoes2 C. saurkraut drained and rinsed2.25 C. water1/2 pkg. frozen peas
Brown meat in pan adding onions half way through browning. Add all remaining ingr. except peas. Bring to boil, lower heat to simmer. Simmer 20 min. Add peas, heat through.
