Lentil and Black Bean Soup

Ingredients
1 large onion, chopped1 minced garlic clove1 tsp chili powder1 tsp cumin1/2 tsp paprika4 cups veggie broth2 tbls tomato paste1 cup red lentils1 can black beans1/2 tsp saltjuice of one lime1/2 tsp pepper
Directions
Chop onion and saute in pot until soft. Add next 4 ingredients and cook one minute. Add veggie broth and tomato paste; bring to boil. Add lentils and cook until tender (about 25 minutes). Rinse black beans and partially mash. Add to soup with salt, pepper and lime juice. Serve with cilantro garnish if desired.
