homemade bacon n lentil soup

Ingredients

3 large carrots, peeled and chopped1 large onion, chopped.1/4 of a swede, peeled and chopped1 cup of yellow lentils (or any lentils you have)2 rashers of raw smoked bacon (back has less fat), chopped1 litre of watersalt n pepper to taste.
Chop all vegetables into same size chuncks, add to pot.
Cut bacon into small slices and add to pot.
Add lentils to pot.
Add water to pot.
Heat on full till boiling, then lower heat to simmer for 20 mins, until all veg is cooked.
Blend with hand blender for a smooth soup, or mash with a potato masher for a chunkier soup.
Add more water or less water for thin or thick soup.
